One Day Cup 2010 for Villa College & VIHS

The Villa College Students Association is organising a One Day Six-a-SideFootball Cup for Villa College, Villa College Recreation Club and Villa International High School.

With a grand prize starting from Mrf 1000.00, the tournament is on the Friday, 8th of October 2010.

Teams from Villa College and Villa International High School are requested to fill the forms at the college counter and submit with the participation fee of Mrf 200/-

Teams should consist of one Manager (in case of VIHS students, it has to be a teacher), at least (but not limited to) Two Officials and Ten Players.

As far as it is arranged now, 5 teams from VIHS and 5 teams from villa college are going to be selected for this competition on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Villa College reveals its New Website

Developed by its own students of the Faculty of Computing and Business Management, the Villa College has released its new Website VillaCollege.edu.mv, after some setbacks.

The students of BIT batch 2, who are involved in the development of the website informs that the website uses PHP scripting and MySql database technologies as well as a new design concept to implement the system.

They also informs that the website is still under development as more features are still being added. So here’s our chance to help the development team by providing our views on the website, positive or negative, and support its growth and user friendliness.

Busiest day at OUMStudents.tk

Having maintained an average daily visitor count of about 100 in recent days, today we received a whopping 950+ visitors (and counting), making today the busiest day in its history.

This sudden interest in this blog is mainly due to a message sent by Villa College to its students, as we have hosted the latest updated timetables of almost all classes at the College – which starts its last trimester of the current academic year – today.

We like to thank Villa College its kind support and request further co-operation regarding important matters to it’s students, like timetables and announcements etc. We are here to share any material useful and important to the college’s students.

Since a lot of new comers also have visited the blog today, we like to inform you that we have a section for Module summaries, where we summarise whole modules of OUM programmes, which many students have found very useful. We also have a Requests area and a Used modules area where used modules can be given out for those who need from those who have already finished them. And a Talk area for talking about just anything else!
