Modules for the Fourth Trimester (for BIT Batch 2)

According to Adhil sir, students of the BIT Batch 2 will be doing 5 modules this trimester .

1. Object Oriented Approach in Software Development (MAL) (Core)
Introduces the fundamentals of Object orientation and the methods involved. I Think this module is more on reading rather than programming.

2. Object Oriented Programming (Core)
This module is mainly focused on Java programming with the Object Oriented Model.

3. Strategic Information System (Elective)
Another Business & IT related module :(  It includes strategic planning, strategic use of IT, information system strategic planning…

4. English for Workplace Communication (MAL) (University Compulsory)
Another English module, which is targeted for the workplace environment.

5. Professional Ethics (University Compulsory)
This module concerns on moral reasoning and ethical theories, moral and social responsibilities, and the nature of ethics in modern business environments.

Next Trimester Registration on 19th January

So you’re having a long vacation? Time almost up so start packing and come back to the studying world.

All existing students of OUM courses are required to visit Villa College for registration on next Tuesday, 19th of January 2010 between 10:00am to 04:00pm.

Studying is expected to be started on Sunday, 24th of January 2010.

The Eclipse: Superstitions, Maldives and an Islamic Overview

Introduction

According to the Maldives Science Society, The longest lasting annular solar eclipse of this millennium will occur on next Friday (15 January 2010). They also reports that it will be the longest annular eclipse until the year 3043. This means that it will also be the longest solar eclipse for the next ten centuries, meaning you will not see another such eclipse for the next 1,033 years.
